About Dusty's Pals
Meet Julia
I love dogs, being outside in the elements and exercising so dog walking is the perfect job for me!
My love of dogs started when I was 5 years old and a Labrador puppy called Buster joined our family! I spent a lot of my childhood out riding horses and with my dog. Over the years I’ve enjoyed most outdoor sports but really got into jogging when I was at uni in Wales. I still love jogging which is why I offer dog jogging as a service.
Previously my work was art related and I was lucky to have an interesting and varied career. I had often thought about working with dogs but I loved art and didn’t want to let that go. In 2006 my husband and I decided we would love to have our own dog. We had been helping my sister-in-law with her lively Red Setter and began to look after dogs for friends and family. We also joined a dog boarding agency. We learnt a lot and I think it really prepared us for when we finally got Dusty. With love, stimulating walks, training and socialisation he turned out to be a very happy, settled and friendly dog.
In early 2020, the company I was working for was going through a quiet patch so I was at home waiting for work to pick up. Dusty was no longer able to go on long walks so I started to walk dogs for friends. I decided to start a dog walking business and could continue with art in my spare time. Hopefully I can now help other people who want the best for their dog but are struggling to give them all the walks or time they need. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, a range of breeds, puppies and elderly dogs.
I am fully insured, trained in Dog First Aid and Emergency Canine Care and DBS checked.

Meet Dusty
Dusty’s Pals is named after our very friendly Cocker Spaniel called Dusty! Dusty joined our family in early 2007, aged 9 weeks. Being a very sociable chap he made many doggy and human friends over the years so it seemed like a good idea to name the business after him. Dusty showed us how much fun life can be when you are a well socialised dog. He took us on endless local walks and because of him we discovered all the best walks in the area!
Sadly, Dusty passed away in May 2021 but his name carries on with the business and I was very lucky to have him there at the beginning as a calming influence on the new dogs.
