How We Care For Your Best Friend

Every dog has different needs and I promise to give your dog the care and attention they require to keep them happy, safe and healthy.  Then you can relax when they are in my hands!  I give regular updates on how your dog is doing and also pics…when I am able to take them!

Dog Walks

1 hour ~ £14

Most dogs love the company of other dogs so I try my best to match dogs up with friends! A one hour group walk will take place in safe and dog friendly areas of our beautiful local countryside. Walks are varied for increased stimulation, new sights, smells and sounds.

Your dog can be walked on or off the lead but they must have good recall to be allowed off the lead. Dogs are collected from your home, transported safely and securely, walked for an hour and returned home afterwards. Dogs paws are wiped and fresh water offered. If your dog gets very muddy they can be washed with a portable shower and towel dried before being dropped home. Friendly dogs are walked in small groups

Dog Jogs

1 hour ~ £20

Do you have a high energy dog?
Your dog may benefit from a jog in the countryside. Jogs last for up to an hour and are a brilliant way to burn off some energy! Please check with your vet first if you are unsure if your dog is suitable. A few walks need to be booked first so I can get to know your dog. Dogs can be jogged off the lead in safe areas as long as they have good recall. In hot weather it is not safe to jog your dog.

Puppy Socialisation Walks

30 mins ~ £11

Your puppy can be taken on a socialisation walk to meet other dogs, new people, for sniffs in the countryside or a wander around a local village. Length of walk depends on age of puppy. Every good new experience you give to your puppy helps to boost their confidence. I can help your puppy to be calm and happy!

Home Visits

30 mins ~ £11

Whilst you are out I can visit your puppy for one to one attention, feeding, cleaning and toilet breaks. Or you may have an older dog who needs medication and some extra care. My insurance covers care for most pets and some livestock (including horses) so if you are looking for holiday animal care I may be able to help. If you need more than one visit per day or a different length of time please ask for a quote.

FAQs

Dusty’s Pals offers regular and ad hoc services in the week and ad hoc services at the weekend.  I try my best to be flexible to fit in with you.  Generally walks are between 9.15am and 3pm weekdays and anytime at the weekend if I am free.

You will get the chance to meet me and I will ask you questions about your dog, their socialisation, training and behaviour.  We will be able to discuss how I can help you with their care, then I will take them on a short walk.

I ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a scheduled walk and you will not be charged.  With less than 24 hours notice you will be charged in full.

If the weather is hot, dogs will be walked in shaded woodland areas as long as it is safe to do so.  Transport time will be limited and fresh water available.

In the event of extreme weather we should know more than 24 hours in advance.  If it is unsafe to walk your dog any scheduled walks will be rescheduled or cancelled.  I may be able to offer a home visit on the day instead.

Dogs are transported safely and securely in the comfort of my estate car.  They will need their own harness, which I securely attach to a dog seat belt clip in either the boot or the back seat in a dog car hammock.

I carry a mini first aid kit on walks and have a larger first aid kit in my car.  In the event of an emergency, I would first call the dog owner.  If the owner cannot be reached I would transport the dog to their own vet, or call a vet for on-site treatment depending on the nature of the emergency.
